Platanuggets


Prep: 25 minutes | Cook: 5 minutes | Yield: 18 Platanugets


INGREDIENTS:

1 lb chicken (breasts or thighs)

1 bag of platanutres (20 oz)

1 cup butter milk

3 eggs

½ tbsp adobo

1½ cup all purpose flour

1 tbsp paprika

1 tbsp garlic salt or garlic powder

salt and pepper to taste

canola or peanut oil for frying

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Cut chicken into bite size cubes and place in a container or ziplock bag. Add in butter milk, 1 egg & adobo to the chicken and place in the fridge for at least an hour or overnight.

2. Once the chicken has been in the fridge, crush the Platanutres to create crumbs. Prep one plate with flour, paprika and garlic salt, one with 2 beaten eggs, and one with the platanutres crumbs.

3. Place the chicken in the flour mix, then the egg and finally in the platanutres crumbs. Repeat until every piece of chicken is breaded.

4. Fry for around 5  minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Enjoy with your favorite dipping sauce!
