INGREDIENTS:
3 cups shredded & sweetened coconut
⅔ cup condensed milk (7oz)
1 egg white
1 pinch of salt
½ cup semisweet chocolate chips (optional)
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Preheat the oven at 325 F°.
2. In a bowl, add in the coconut, condensed milk and a pinch of salt, mix with a spatula.
3. In another bowl, beat the egg white until stiff peaks form.
4. Fold in the egg to the coconut and condensed milk mixture.
5. Scoop a tablespoon on mix on to your hand and form a ball (do not press too hard). 6—Place the balls on a cookie sheet topped with parchment paper.
7. Bake for 10 minutes, flip the cookie sheet in the opposite direction and bake for 10 more minutes or until slightly golden.
8. Once baked, set aside and let cool.
9. Place the chocolate chips in a bowl and melt in the microwave, about 30 seconds.
10. Dip the bottom of the Besitos in chocolate and then drizzle some more on the top. Let the chocolate cool and harden.
